501410: Mack Engine Diagnostics Expanded to Three Days

Equip your technicians with a structured process for diagnosing Mack engine systems.

The updated, three-day 501410: Mack Engine Diagnostics course replaces the previous two-day version and now includes additional engine systems with more hands-on troubleshooting.

Taught by Mack Trucks Academy professionals, this instructor-led course helps technicians apply a clear, repeatable diagnostic process to real issues encountered across key engine areas, including:

  • Base engine
  • Lubrication (including the Variable Oil Pump)
  • Fuel
  • Intake and exhaust, including turbo operation and the PowerLeash Engine Brake
  • Cooling system
  • Engine control (ECM, sensors, wiring, and actuators)

If your technicians previously completed the two-day Engine Diagnostics course, the updated version adds additional engine systems while reinforcing essential diagnostics such as:

  • Air in fuel
  • EPRV testing
  • Fuel rail pressure sensor and harness checks
  • Injector electrical testing and isolation
  • Camshaft lobe inspection

The course remains an essential part of the Mack Engine Master technician development plan.
