DATE Program

Diesel Advanced Technology Education

What is the DATE Program?

The DATE program at Mack Trucks Academy prepares highly dedicated, shop-ready diesel technicians to enter the workforce. Our experienced instructors from partner institutions will show them how to diagnose and service Mack trucks through advanced technical training.

Graduates take the same professional-level training as your current technicians, preparing them to transition successfully to working in your dealership.

Why Hire DATE Graduates for Your Dealership?

Recruiting DATE program graduates greatly reduces training costs and out-of-shop recruitment time.

  • Save approximately 30 hours of training for new technicians.
  • Decrease time to achieve master-level status by up to 50%.

To qualify for the DATE program, students need to successfully interview and meet attendance and grade requirements. Once accepted, students will complete 500+ hours of coursework and hands-on training, then graduate with a Mack technician professional-level certificate.

Technicians are then ready to move on to master-level training once employed at your dealership.
