Mack Engine Overhaul
The Mack Engine Overhaul course provides experienced dealer service technicians with practical, hands-on activities servicing the current diesel engine platform for Mack Trucks in a shop environment. Applicable review of engine systems (cooling, lubrication, fuel, combustion and air) is covered, along with common engine diagnostics, failure analysis, part and component measurement and accurate disassembly and reassembly of major engine components within the context of probable scenarios.
Participants will follow the established diagnostic process during activities to increase the likelihood of consistent, accurate and efficient diagnostic and repair back on the job. The classroom component focuses on increasing technician proficiency with relevant systems used in the diagnostic and repair process including Trucks Dealer Portal, Impact, PTT 2.0, eMedia and service bulletins.
