Mack MD Safety Training Basics

This course is designed to provide comprehensive training on safety procedures and practices specific to Mack’s medium-duty electric vehicle. This course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate and maintain these electric vehicles safely, reducing the risk of electrical accidents and ensuring the well-being of operators and others.

Participants will gain a fundamental understanding of electric vehicle technology, including components, systems, and the unique safety considerations associated with electric powertrains.

Goals:

  • Learn about the infrastructure and best practices for ensuring the safe and efficient charging of Mack medium-duty electric vehicles
  • Identify the proper procedures for starting, operating, and shutting down Mack medium-duty electric vehicles to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Learn how to effectively respond to emergency situations, such as vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or electrical incidents, to protect lives and property
  • Identify safety protocols for working around electric vehicles, including roles and best practices for avoiding electrical hazards
